
The Recreation Board serves as a fun and dynamic hub for community engagement, offering a range of activities and events in which people of all ages can come together, fostering a sense of belonging and creating lasting memories. Volunteers are always welcome!
The Recreation Board cares for the Mayors Playground at East Maple Avenue. Members are involved in maintaining playground equipment, finding and applying for grants for equipment and facilities, coordinating with the police to install security cameras and other safety measures, and organizing fun community events such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Recreation Board Meetings are held on the 1st Thursday in March, June, Oct. and Dec. at 4:30 p.m. at Mayors Playground (inclement weather location is Borough Hall)
