The Langhorne Borough Human Relations Commission was established in 2023 by the enactment of the Langhorne Borough Anti-Discrimination Ordinance. The ordinance was enacted in order to ensure that all persons, regardless of actual or perceived race, color, gender, religion, ancestry, genetic information, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, familial status, marital status, age, mental or physical disability, enjoy the full benefits of citizenship and are afforded equal opportunities for employment, housing and the use of public accommodations, and have equal access to post-secondary educational institutions.
The Human Relations Commission enforces the Borough’s law that prohibits discrimination in employment, housing, and places of public accommodation. The commission works to promote greater understanding, diversity, inclusion, and equity throughout the Langhorne Borough community.
The HRC is seeking ways to increase community awareness of the commission and its purpose. We invite residents and businesses to reach out with positive ideas or opportunities to expand the visibility of the Langhorne Borough Human Relations Commission.
If an individual feels that they have been the subject of unlawful discrimination, the HRC is a local alternative to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and provides additional areas of protection. This commission will review their formal complaint with procedures as presented in the ordinance. If you feel you have been the subject of unlawful discrimination or to report an issue, contact the HRC by emailing manager@langborough.com, calling 215-757-3768 or visiting Borough Hall at 114 East Maple Avenue during office hours.
Meeting Schedule
Human Relations Commission meetings are held quarterly on the third Tuesday in March, June, September and December at 6:30 pm, at Borough Hall Chambers located at 114 East Maple Avenue.
2026 Meetings:
