Slavery, Friends and Freedom in Bucks County
The Langhorne Borough Human Relations Commission and the African American Museum of Bucks County are partnering to host a special program about the rich history of the African American community in Bucks County! From enslaved Africans’ arrival in the 1600s to the Underground Railroad during the Civil war, celebrated local historian and author Pat Mervine will share the story of the African American journey.
This program will be held at the Richardson House on November 4, starting at 7pm. While the event is free to attend, the African American Museum will be accepting donations and we encourage attendees to support this important local institution in any way they can. For more information on the AAMBC and how to support the museum, please visit their website.
